Robert Levine, DDS

Dr. Robert Levine is President of Levine Consulting LLC and Global Laser Oral Health LLC, an ADA CERP recognized provider for online laser training. Both independently and in conjunction with his peers from various healthcare and technical disciplines, Dr. Levine designs training programs for general dental and hygiene professionals as well as students, academic institutions, and commercial organizations.

Dr. Levine has been in the field of dentistry since 1973. After graduating from NYU, he completed a two-year residency (1973-1975) at the VA Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, where he remained as a consultant from 1975 to 1985. He was also in private practice in NYC from 1978-2005.

For nearly two decades, Dr. Levine has specialized and focused in the laser arena, both in academia and private practice. He works heavily in Special Care Dentistry, where he is able to apply this cutting-edgetechnology to a special group of patients.He is also a proud co-developer of the first accepted laser curriculum at an accredited United States dental school.

Since 2009,Dr. Levinehas been a full time faculty member at A.T. Still University, Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH), Mesa, Arizona. He served as clinical director of the AEGD Post Graduate program from 2009-2013, and is currently Director of Laser Dentistry. A frequent lecturer on lasers and other emerging technologies in dentistry, Dr. Levine has also published many papers on the science and use of CO2 laser technology for a variety of dental applications.

With a passion for oral cancer research and emerging adjunctive screening technologies, Dr. Levine has designed educational curricula in this field and lectured extensively to professionals, students, and the general public. In 2011, he was a keynote speaker at the Major League Baseball meeting in Dallas, Texas, where he spoke on the dangers of using smokeless tobacco products. Dr. Levine continues to educate both major and minor league players on this topic as well as HPV-related oral cancer.

In 2011, Dr. Levine founded Levine Consulting and GLOH Education. Through Levine Consulting, he provides independent consulting services and works in an advisory role with companies developing lasers, adjunctive oral cancer screening devices, and educational training programs. Through GLOH Education, he designs and customizesonline laser training programs for students and dental professionals around the world.Via the online training process, Dr. Levineintroduces dental professionals to a comprehensive pathway to lasers, so they can both understand the potential benefits for their patients and their practices, and then successfully implement these transformative technologies. The founding principle has always been to provide concise education in a variety of ways, to suit the different learning styles of every individual.

Dr. Levine’s interests include baseball, golf, skiing, and tennis. He currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona.
