Mai-Ly (My-Lee) received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and Master of Public Health (MPH) from A.T. Still University, Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH), Mesa, Arizona. She serves as a full-time Associate Professor at ASDOH in The Center for Advanced Oral Health, working to support students, residents, and faculty treating individuals with special needs and complex medical conditions. She also works as a part-time associate dentist at Sundance Dental Care.
Dr. Duong completed a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from NYU Langone Medical Center in 2013. This program evolved her clinical skills to include CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design Computer Aided Manufacturing), sedation dentistry, and advanced periodontal/oral surgery.
In 2016, she completed a Master’s in Education (MAEd) with a dental emphasis from the University of the Pacific. Her many accomplishments and contributions to the dental profession have earned her recognition as a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), Fellowship in the Special Care Dentistry Association (FSCD), Fellowship in the American College of Dentists (FACD), Fellowship in the International College of Dentists (FICD), and Fellowship in the Pierre Fauchard Academy (PFA).
Dr. Duong has a passion for lifelong learning and service. She is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry, serving both on the state and national level of both organizations. She also serves on the Arizona Dental Foundation Board of Directors, Special Care Dentistry Association, and Rotary Youth Leadership Awards District 5495.
As chair of the annual Arizona Oral Cancer Walk, she’s helped drive efforts for an event that has raised more than $120,000 for research and education initiatives since 2009. She also chairs the annual Day for Special Smiles, a community event that has provided more than $100,000 in dental treatment to adults with special needs in Arizona at no charge since 2011.
On a personal note, Dr. Duong loves to sing. Her personal goals are to become fluent in Spanish and American Sign Language.
